Celebrating a Year of Research Success and Active Advocacy
The past year saw significant variability in conditions for Saskatchewan barley producers. Some regions produced their best barley crop ever and others struggled with the massive drought conditions repeated from 2021. For barley producers, one thing that was consistent was the commitment of SaskBarley to research and market development work on behalf of Saskatchewan producers.
Our Annual Report will be posted to our website in the coming days and provides a summary of activities. Research expenses accounted for 73% of SaskBarley’s total spending in 2020-2021. Join us at our AGM on January 10, 2023, either in-person, or on-line, to learn more about the past year and our activities. Register here and have access to a variety of meetings being held in January. Producer input and feedback is vital to the success of your crop commissions.
Canada’s international reputation as a leader in agriculture and agri-food production is reflected in our world-class malting barley varieties, safe and efficient production methods, robust quality assurance systems and delivery of quality product.
