Herbicide Residues Risk Maps for 2022 Now Available Online

Rainfall after herbicide application is crucial for the breakdown of herbicides in the soil. When there is less than normal rainfall this can result in herbicides residues remaining in the soil, which can lead to an increased risk of herbicide injury towards the crops planted in the following years.

The Government of Saskatchewan has updated their Herbicide Residues page with two new risk maps for 2022.  The first map is based on rainfall from June 1 to August 20, 2021 and the second June 15 to September 13, 2021. More information is available at SaskWheat as well.
