Meet the Board: Cody Glenn, Climax, SK
Cody was elected to the SaskBarley Board of Directors in January 2022 and began serving as Chair in January 2024
Cody Glenn is the Chair of the SaskBarley Board of Directors, an entrepreneur and the fourth generation to manage the land on his family’s farm in south-western Saskatchewan. A proud resident of his small community, Climax, Saskatchewan, Cody wears multiple hats in the agricultural landscape.
With a 3,000-acre certified seed farm, Cody cultivates a variety of crops including malt and feed barley, green peas, durum, and lentils. He founded Southline Ag in 2016, a custom farming and grain handling company driven by a mission to provide products and services that leave a lasting impression for future generations.
Established with a focus on custom harvesting to support local producers, Southline Ag expanded its operations over the years. Today, it provides a full suite of custom farming services and expanded to grain cleaning for both local seed and international export. Southline also specializes in handling malt and feed barley for export markets and have a trucking division that services western Canada.
His widespread involvement in various aspects of agriculture, from production to distribution, positions Cody as a seasoned voice in the barley industry. With insights garnered from hands-on experience, Cody is eager to contribute to the industry’s growth and sustainability, emphasizing the importance of empowering growers and fostering stronger connections across the barley value chain.
