SaskBarley Welcomes New Director and Recognizes Board Service at 2026 AGM
SaskBarley welcomed Bernie McClean of Glaslyn, SK to its Board of Directors during the commission’s Annual General Meeting held in January during the Sask Crops Forum in Saskatoon.
McClean farms in northwest Saskatchewan with his family and brings experience in farm management, local governance, and agricultural industry leadership to the board. He has previously served on the board of SaskCanola (now SaskOilseeds) as well as national canola industry organizations, contributing to discussions around research investment, policy development, and market opportunities for producers.

SaskBarley also recognizes Maurice Berry and Cody Glenn, who were re-elected by acclamation this fall and will continue serving Saskatchewan barley producers on the board. Glenn continues to serve as Chair, with Chad Ferguson now serving as Vice Chair.

The commission extends sincere thanks to Zenneth Faye of Foam Lake, who provided 10 years of dedicated service to the barley industry. During his time as a director, Faye contributed to discussions around research investment, producer engagement, and market development. His guidance over the years has helped strengthen Saskatchewan’s barley sector.
SaskBarley also thanks Matt Enns, who stepped away from the board in January, for his service and contributions to the organization.
SaskBarley’s board of directors represents barley producers from across Saskatchewan and provides leadership for the commission’s work in research, extension, market development, and advocacy on behalf of the province’s barley growers.
