Help Lead the Future of Barley — SaskBarley Board Nominations Now Open
Are you ready to step out of the field and into leadership?
Nominations are now open for the SaskBarley Board of Directors. We’re calling on Saskatchewan’s barley producers to step into a leadership role that shapes the future of the industry.
From June 2 to September 5, 2025 (12:00 PM noon), registered barley producers can put their names forward to serve on the board of directors. Three successful candidates will help guide research investments, policy direction, market development, and producer outreach. It’s a chance to represent your fellow growers and make a meaningful impact where it matters most.
Why run?
If you care about the long-term success of barley in Saskatchewan, have ideas to share, and want to make your voice heard, this is your opportunity. Board members bring real-world experience and first hand perspectives to the table, ensuring SaskBarley stays rooted in the needs of the producers who grow the crop.
Who can run?
Any registered barley producer in Saskatchewan who has grown and sold barley in the last two years and has not requested a levy refund in the most recent fiscal year (Aug 1, 2023 – July 31, 2024) is eligible. At least two other registered barley producers must support the nomination.
The nomination form and full details are available starting June 2 at SaskBarley.com/director-elections. We recommend submitting early to allow time for verification and to ensure your nomination package is complete.
Make your voice barley’s voice.
The future of the barley industry depends on strong leadership. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now’s the time.
Put your name forward. Be the voice of barley.
